Nintendo announces 3D Mario collection for the switch

The collection, called Super Mario 3D All-Stars, will be released on Switch on September 18 and includes these three games:

Super Mario 64, released for the Nintendo 64 in 1996, was the first Mario game to abandon the side scrolling action from left to right for 3D adventures behind the back. The game’s characteristic design is simply how enjoyable it is to make Mario run, jump and swim through themed worlds of deserts, snow, water and more. After launch, it was considered one of the greatest video games of all time.

His 2002 successor, GameCube’s Super Mario Sunshine, was warmly welcomed, although he was criticized for relying heavily on the item collection and was hampered by occasional technical slowness. The characteristic element of the Sunshine is a backpack that throws water and that a Mario on vacation can use to clean a vacation resort full of enemies and silt. Although Mario 64 received portings and reissues on platforms as diverse as Nintendo DS and Wii, Sunshine was never brought to any later Nintendo console.

The original Super Mario Galaxy was released for the Nintendo Wii in 2007. It brought Mario 3D action to a system of small spherical worlds and is considered one of Nintendo’s best 3D games.
