The Dungeons & Dragons Movie Has An Official Title
The movie “Dungeons & Dragons” has an official title, complete with a short animated title reveal trailer to get fans excited. The upcoming feature film stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith and is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, and fans are absolutely ready to have a “Dungeons & Dragons” movie that isn’t a total disaster. Tabletop roleplaying can be extremely fun, and shows and podcasts like Critical Role and The Adventure Zone have proven that there are ways to use worlds to tell amazing stories that everyone can enjoy, even if they’re not actively playing.
Hopefully the entire creative team will play in their 20s and we can have the kind of fun role-playing adventure that does right by the massively popular franchise.
That’s right, the movie’s official title is “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”, hinting at the fact that there may be some rogue characters among the cast. This isn’t much of a surprise, as the official synopsis revealed that Pine’s character is a former Harper turned thief. We also know that Rodriguez is apparently playing a barbarian, and Hugh Grant will be playing the villain, but otherwise things are still under wraps. Smith, Sophia Lillis and Regé-Jean Page are also in the cast, though their roles are still a mystery.
