Batman: The Long Halloween Artist Tim Sale Is Dead At 66
Earlier this week, DC Comic Chief Creative Officer/Publisher Jim Lee announced on Twitter that Tim Sale had been admitted to the hospital for “severe health issue,” and now the people behind Sale’s own Twitter account have shared that he has died. Sale has passed away, just days after being admitted to the hospital with reportedly serious health issues. The cause of death has not been revealed.
Eisner-winning comics artist Tim Sale was artist behind Batman: The Long Halloween and Daredevil: Yellow.
The artist, best known for his numerous collaborations with writer Jeph Loeb, has been working in comics since 1983, and became a household name for comic book fans following the release of Batman: The Long Halloween #1 in 1996.
