Sia says Shia LaBeouf ’emotionally hurt’ her, and supports the FKA Twigs lawsuit against the actor
After FKA twigs accused Shia LaBeouf of “relentless abuse”, filing a lawsuit against him on Friday, Sia tweeted her own story of emotional suffering at the actor’s hands.
On Saturday, Sia tweeted a link to the New York Times story that broke the news about the FKA twigs lawsuit, writing: “I too have been hurt emotionally by Shia, a pathological liar, who conned me into an adulterous relationship claiming to be single. I believe he’s very sick and have compassion for him AND his victims. Just know, if you love yourself – stay safe, stay away.” She added in a follow-up tweet: “love you back @Sia you’re an inspiration and thank you everyone for your love and solidarity <3” LaBeouf starred in the singer’s music video for her song “Elastic Heart” alongside her longtime muse, teenage dancer Maddie Ziegler.
FKA twigs expressed support for his fellow singer, retweeting Sia’s statement and replying: “I’m sorry @Sia this reinforces why i had to publicly share my experience. we need to support each other <3” . In her second tweet, she added, “love you back @Sia you’re an inspiration and thank you everyone for your love and solidarity <3“.
