Exclusive Disney NFTs Announced on Disney+ Day
Fans will be able to purchase official Disney NFTs from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and more in the VeVe Digital Collectibles app
Disney x VeVe
Disney and VeVe will celebrate Disney + Day with a series of “Golden Moments” digital collectibles. This will give fans and collectors the opportunity to purchase and interact with digital gold statues inspired by beloved stories and moments from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more.
Disney NFT “Golden Moments”
The Disney NFT “Golden Moments” collection will be available on the platform ahead of Disney + Day, culminating on November 12th with a special Ultra Rare digital collectible.
As an added bonus, each customer (in select markets) who first purchases an NFT from the “Golden Moments” collection will also receive three months of Disney+ courtesy of VeVe, while customers who first purchase the special Ultra Rare digital collectible at Disney + Day will receive a twelve-month subscription!
Note: This Disney + offer is only valid for Disney + subscribers new and old, may not be shared with anyone else or transferred for cash or any other consideration, with or without NFT, and is only available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, and Singapore.
Each “Golden Moment” costs USD$60. According to Ledger Insights, Veve is estimated to earn nearly $1.2 million a day in revenue, assuming everyone runs out. If it’s the same for each of the six days, that’s an incredible $7.2 million. And that’s not the only recipe. For secondary market sales, there is a standard 2.5% cut for Veve. But in the case of Disney, there is an additional 6% licensor fee.
All 18,666 Simpsons collectibles are sold out. As with most NFTs, there are always some people who want to sell them to make a profit quickly, and this is no different. Bart and Homer’s “ordinary” digital figurine is being auctioned off at $150, with the rare skateboards being auctioned off for nearly double that.
Drops are described as ‘blind boxes’. However, in the case of The Simpsons, all buyers received the same pre-posted images above for both drops.
Although Veve has managed to license a number of big brands. For The Simpsons, we can expect others to release different versions. The animated series was originally produced for Fox, which invested $100 million in its NFT subsidiary and recently partnered with WWE.
