Man Accused Of Randomly Punching Actor Rick Moranis Arrested

The suspect accused of randomly attacking actor Rick Moranis on the Upper West Side in October has been arrested. Marquis Ventura, 35, was arrested Saturday for allegedly pummeling the “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” star.

Marquis Ventura has a history of arrests for walloping strangers in the face.

Only hours after the bizarre Oct. 1st attack that saw Moranis attacked near his Upper West Side home, Ventura made his way downtown to wreak more havoc, cops say.

The incident happened on Oct. 1 on Central Park West near West 70th Street. Security video shows a man walk past Moranis and punch him in the head, knocking the 67-year-old actor to the ground.

New York City police said 35-year-old Marquis Ventura, whom authorities listed as homeless, was arrested Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t known if Ventura had retained an attorney who could comment.
