His recognition of the relationship came after Athens falsely accused him of posting pictures of himself naked on a website with underage girls.

She also shared a nude photo on Facebook that claimed to be Berkowitz. The mayor denied the “slanderous accusations” and described Athens as “hostile and ill”.

Police said they investigated the charges, but found no evidence of criminal conduct on the part of Berkowitz. After posting the complaints, Athens was arrested in the TV studios after getting into a physical fight with her station manager, Scott Centers

Athens was in relationship with the Centers, according to court documents. The TV studio has since distanced itself from Athens’ claims, but has not confirmed whether she was fired.

Coastal Television CEO Bill Fielder said the allegations that were made on Athens’ personal Facebook page were never published by any of the network’s news outlets.

The video and photo remain published on the Athens Facebook page until the date of publication of this post.
