Mass Shooting in Wisconsin At Mayfair Mall In Wauwatosa

Police are searching for the author of the shooting at the Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Multiple people were shot.

Seven adults and one teenager were hospitalized due to the incident. Said the Wauwatosa police. The police chief said none had died.

The incident began just before 3 p.m. on Friday when officers were called for an active shooter situation at the mall, about 7 miles west of Milwaukee. Police say the incident happened near the Macy’s entrance on the northwest side of the mall.

Early investigations suggest that the attack at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa “was not a random act” and instead stemmed from an “altercation,” police said. They announced that they had cleared the shopping complex at about 9:30 p.m. local time, more than six hours after rapid-fire shots sent shoppers running for the exits.

Police only had a vague description, saying the shooter was described as a white male in his 20s or 30s and said any information that is currently out about the shooter’s identity is false.

The FBI is assisting in the investigation.
