Multiple Injuries Reported, After Mass Shooting Outside Arkansas Grocery Store

Multiple people were wounded and three was killed in a shooting incident involving two groups using “AR-15 style weapons” in Fordyce late Friday morning.

According to the Southeast Arkansas Times, ten people were wounded, including at least one law enforcement officer.

The incident occurred outside the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, with gunshots heard in a Facebook video posted by Casey D. Rodriguez.

The incident took place at 11:30 a.m. at the Mad Butcher, a grocery store located at 920 W. Fourth St.

The unidentified shooter, who was critically injured after being shot by law enforcement, has been taken into custody.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement at 1:40 p.m. saying she had been briefed on the “tragic shooting.”

“I’m in constant contact with State Police at the scene,” Huckabee said.

“I am thankful to law enforcement and first responders for their quick and heroic action to save lives. My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this horrific incident.”

The location of the fatality and further details about the victims and suspects have yet to be confirmed, but Calhoun County Judge Floyd Nutt confirmed that the situation was no longer active.
