The net worth of Elon Musk has grown by $ 100.3 billion this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The index is a ranking of the 500 richest people in the world.

What caused this growth was the skyrocketing Tesla stock price. This boost took Elon Musk from 35th in the Bloomberg ranking to 2nd with a net worth of nearly $ 128 billion.

This ranking advance made Musk pass Bill Gates on Tuesday. second only to Jeff Bezos , founder of Amazon.

Musk has so far received four of the 12 bonuses traded in his executive compensation package.
