Nepal’s capital Kathmandu reopens hotels
Nepal is allowing the reopening of hotels in the Kathmandu valley, but other destinations in the country may adopt stricter blocks.
The number of reservations is very low, as visitors must be quarantined for 14 days on arrival, and travel is restricted to holders of work and business authorization and Nepalese on repatriation flights.
Public spaces and services are now open in the Kathmandu valley according to the latest travel notices. Residents are advised to wear a mask when shopping and to practice social detachment.
There are prohibitions on large meetings in Kathmandu nepal. Entertainment centers such as movie theaters and nightclubs, health clubs and swimming clubs, lounges, beauty salons, spas, libraries, zoos, and museums remain closed until further notice.
Most foreigners are not allowed to visit Nepal, and Nepal’s inbound land crossings shared with India remain closed to all foreigners from third countries until midnight on October 16.
The ban on international commercial flights has also been lifted, but at the moment, only Nepalese, international passengers who fall into certain categories of employment and their dependents, will be allowed to travel to Nepal.
Those who are allowed to enter Nepal are required to have a PCR test that demonstrates that their test was negative for Covid-19 and to have a valid certificate within 72 hours of the trip.
